Artist Gordon Haas’ Impressions of The Tuscan Landscape in Solo Exhibition

Bucks County, PA - Haas-Muth Gallery in New Hope, PA. Announces their Fall Exhibition titled "Dreams of Tuscany", featuring 45 new plein air paintings by Lambertville artist Gordon Haas. Gordon recently returned from a six-week oil painting trip to Italy, where he immersed himself in the Tuscan culture and landscape. The exhibit runs from Oct. 7th thru Oct. 15th, with an opening night artist's reception Sat., Oct. 7th from 6 to 10PM.

Well known for his impressionist landscapes of Bucks County and Europe, Gordon has recently been drawn to the Tuscan town of Montalcino, which is best known for their world renown 'Brunello de Montalcino' wine and Breathtaking landscapes. Haas spent the spring and early summer exploring the region and capturing the beauty of the countryside, with his easel in tow, painting Plein Air. While painting 'on the scene' Gordon befriended many of the locals and was welcomed by everyone he met. His unassuming personality gained him access to many private estates, including the most famous winery in all of Italy, the Biondi-Santi estate, for which he received a private tour by the owner himself. By the end of his stay Gordon was considered one of their own and a Lucky Charm at a local pub during the World Cup, which Italy happened to win.

A 1984 graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Gordon has operated Haas Gallery in Lambertville, NJ, his working studio and gallery for the past 13 years. Multi-faceted, Gordon, along with his wife, Christine, built unique custom hand-carved gold leaf frames for all of the new paintings.

Haas-Muth Gallery, in its 3rd year of business, is co-owned by Gordon Haas and Timothy Muth.
